Dr James Cox obtained a B.S. degree from Central Michigan University and then his D.D.S. degree from the University of Michigan.  He is a member of both the American Dental Association, the Michigan Dental Association, the Detroit District Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry.

His personal interests include Classical Music, Choral Singing, being a member in his Church choir, being a member of his church board, golfing, history and photography.
